SRD Go with LinkTest – Faster, Simpler Transmission Path Testing

The new version of the SRD Go application introduces LinkTest, a powerful feature that allows operators to test transmission paths faster and more efficiently.
Built on SRD 5 and coherent modules with embedded diagnostics, LinkTest eliminates the need for costly external testers.

Until now, verifying 100G connections required dedicated test equipment and complex logistics. With SRD 5, a coherent module, and SRD Go, operators can now run transmission tests in just a few minutes. The process is simple: SRD 5 generates the test signal, the coherent module measures key quality parameters such as BER, FEC, and OSNR, and the results are instantly displayed in the SRD Go app in a clear and intuitive format.

This approach not only saves costs but also enables remote diagnostics, reducing verification time and helping operators respond to potential issues more quickly. By enabling continuous quality monitoring without interrupting live traffic, LinkTest also enhances overall network reliability.
