Our new QSFP28 100G ZR4 module provides 100GbE range up to 80km. Thanks to the use of high-quality EML lasers and the incorporation of SOA optical amplifiers, they enable operation at a distance of 80 km without the need to use FEC error correction mechanisms on the host side. The possibility of making such long connections without regenerating the signal at intermediate points makes the migration to 100G solutions possible while maintaining the same simple infrastructure.
